Salvation

How am I saved?

Gospel Grace Faith
Confidence Moderate
Strong overall support, with a few interpretive edges.

[!TLDR]

True Christians are kept by God; warnings are real means God uses to preserve His people.

[!END]

If you’re anxious because you care, that concern itself is often a sign of spiritual life.

Salvation begins and ends with what Jesus accomplished on the cross. Humanity’s problem isn’t bad behavior but separation from God — the natural result of sin. Scripture says, “The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23). That’s the heart of the gospel: salvation is a gift, not a wage.

Jesus lived the perfect life we couldn’t, died the death we deserved, and rose again to prove that sin and death were defeated. To be saved means to turn from sin (repentance) and place our trust — not in ourselves, our religion, or our goodness — but in Him alone. When we do, God forgives us completely and gives new life through His Spirit.

[!WARN]
Don’t build assurance on feelings—build it on Christ and His promises.

[!END]

Faith isn’t a feeling or a formula; it’s surrender. Salvation isn’t about becoming good enough to reach God — it’s about receiving the rescue He offers.

[!SCRIPTURE Romans 6:23]
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.

“If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” — Romans 10:9

[!QUOTE]
The warnings aren’t there to make believers panic. They’re there to keep believers awake.
